We are excited to partner with Habitat and numerous other local sponsors to help empower a hard-working deserving woman, Susana Figueroa, a single Mom of 5 children, as we work side-by-side with this family to build their home. Susana and her children currently live in a two bedroom apartment. To Susana, having a Habitat home means stability. Her kids will finally be part of a community, and they will have their own space with their home located between a Faith Build home and a future Veteran’s Build home in Evans.
“It’s every parent’s dream to own their home, and my dream will come true,” Susana said. Habitat is my only hope to be a homeowner.”
WOMEN BUILD Teams of 10 continue to register online to help. We will work from 8 a.m. – 3 p.m. most Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Please sign-up YOUR Team online at:
https://www.greeleyhabitat.org/womenbuild with the intention of assembling 10 women with each team member raising and/or donating $100/person for a TEAM total of $1,000! We hope each woman will work at least one day at The WOMEN BUILD site located at: 1314 29th St. Rd Greeley. All volunteers on the construction site must be 16 years or older. Men are also welcome but we ask you to wear PINK on the construction site!
If you don’t have a team, but can raise $100, we will plug you into a NorCoWIB team work day and you will have a blast working and networking! Please fill out the online liability form when you register and note the day you would like to help. Many Thursdays and all Saturdays have already filled to capacity with volunteers, so we’ve added Wednesdays.
If you cannot make a full $100 donation, please donate what you can and we will find sponsors to underwrite your participation. Just make a notation when you register and Cheri or Lowrey will let Kristi know!! Refer your Peeps – ALL workers & donations APPRECIATED – while we are raising $100,000!
We welcome donations of any amount and also need lunch sponsors to feed volunteers at each work day. Can YOU (your club, business, church group, book club, etc.) help feed 25-30 workers on a date that is still needing a sponsor?
