Mandy Straight, Transformational Interior Design (Owner/Designer), TEDx speaker, podcast host, master-level NLP practitioner, and founder of the DIY Design Course: Room Revolution has over 20 years of design experience. She helps people create spaces that support their energy, clarity, confidence, and sense of self.

Through her courses, virtual design services, custom interiors, and speaking, Mandy explores the powerful connection between environment, identity and wellbeing.  Have you seen her TEDx Talk? Check it out! Culture Works: How to Create Happiness in the Workplace.

Before coining “visual mantra” and the process of revolutionizing your room, Mandy battled deep feelings of hopelessness and helplessness. With a cerebral mindset and an eye for design, she learned how changing her surroundings could change the way she viewed the world—and herself

A quote from Mandy’s Website by Wayne Dyer: “If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.”

Most of us think overwhelm lives in our calendar, inbox or brain—but our spaces are often quietly adding to the noise. In this Workshop presentation, Mandy will help participants see their homes (offices) – – – not as another project to fix, but as a reflection of what they are tolerating, craving and becoming.  YOU will learn how your space shapes your energy, decisions, identity, and sense of possibility—and leave with one practical next step to create more ease, clarity and alignment at home.

Three Key Points participants will take away from your presentation:
1. Your space is not neutral—it constantly reflects and reinforces a story about who you are, what matters, and what feels possible.
2. Overwhelm grows when our homes hold visual noise, outdated decisions, or rooms that no longer match the life we’re building.
3. Small, intentional design choices can create “Passive Visual Income”—daily visual reminders that support clarity, confidence, and who you’re becoming.

Here are some fun and interesting tidbits about Mandy to get to know her better:

She is a Colorado native (her mom Charee Voelz is an active NorCoWIB member and she will be introducing Mandy on Sept. 2nd).  She describes herself as a lifelong collector of beautiful experiences—old houses, great restaurants, museums, concerts, floral gin, peaty scotch, cigar lounges, piano bars, karaoke, and conversations that accidentally turn into life philosophy.

In college she studied theater, French and math, then more recently NLP, Enneagram, and shamanic work, which is a very on-brand way of saying she is endlessly curious about language, pattern, beauty, identity, and what makes us human.  At her core, she is fascinated by identity, connection, beauty, belonging, and how the spaces we spend time in can nourish us and literally change our lives.

She lives in Denver with her partner, Brian, in a light-filled midcentury home with two teenagers, three dogs, and eight chickens—so there is no shortage of personalities under one roof.

Give-Aways:  Mandy is offering one complimentary Design Disconnect Session as a door prize. The winner will receive a 45–60 minute virtual session focused on one space in their home, including insight into what feels off, what the room may be reinforcing, and one clear next step to create more ease, clarity, and alignment.

Mandy will also offer NorCoWIB members a special attendee discount on her Room Revolution course when they enter their email using the QR code.

SPECIAL THANK YOU’s to our member volunteers who help make this event possible!

The monies donated will help support the Mission of Zac’s Legacy Childhood Cancer Fund to alleviate non-medical financial burdens that Colorado families face while their dependent child is battling cancer. This organization provides public awareness and education, while positively impacting the families of cancer-stricken children. Zac’s helps with paying mortgages, rent, utilities, food, gas, cell phone, vehicle repairs, house cleaning and other costs, that become a low priority when faced with a child battling for their life. “One day we seek to see an end to childhood cancer so families will no longer require assistance. Until that day, we believe our communities benefit by understanding the struggles, trials, tribulations and types of childhood cancer that is experienced every day by their neighbors,” Board members shared.
Here’s how it works: This is a Free-Will opportunity to donate $5 + 1 business card, or if you are passionate about the work this nonprofit accomplishes you can donate up to $20 and put 4 business cards in the drawing. It functions in $5 increments. At the end of the Workshop 1 business card is drawn and that person splits the pot with the identified monthly nonprofit organization – which is Zac’s for September.
