Most child care facilities require parents to provide disposable diapers for their child; 62% of Colorado mothers of infants are in the workforce, and the 1/3 of all mothers who experience diaper needs miss an average of four days of school or work in a month because they don’t have enough diapers. A donation of $25 purchases a week’s worth of diapers and baby wipes. $100 pays for a full month’s supply.

Here’s how it works: This is a Free-Will opportunity to donate $5 + 1 business card, or if you are passionate about helping families and the work this nonprofit accomplishes you can donate up to $20 and put 4 business cards in the drawing. At the end of the Workshop 1 business card is drawn and that person splits the pot with the identified nonprofit organization.    Members can share 1 business card + $5 or …3 Biz cards and $15. You decide how passionately you wish to donate in $5 increments, it’s your choice.  T.Y.,  we now have a QR code you can scan to donate now …or at the Workshop for those who do not carry cash!

Northern Colorado Women in Business wrapped-up our 16th year as a Networking Leader for local women and  we continue to provide collaborative opportunities for our members to shine with:

• Collaborative sponsorship of events (making it more affordable when sharing the cost) such as Wrangling Hope, Life Stories; Midnight Masquerade, Weld Food Bank;  Waves of Love Giving Luncheon, WHALE; The Success Foundation Breakfast; plus the upcoming Weld Women2Women-Circle of Sisters Fundraising Auction and Silent Auction on May 17th.
• Volunteer opportunities to enjoy collaboration and community impact, such as a 2-hour volunteer work session at the Weld Food Bank or a Habitat for Humanity BUILD Days  – which provides additional NETWORKING time. We can use your help at our Habitat WOMEN BUILD days from 11:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. (includes lunch) on these Saturdays:  April 26th; May 3rd & 31st. Family members are welcome but must be 18 years or older.

• Stepping-up to take the Lead coordinating activities where we want community visibility like Relay for Life, Compete to BEAT {{HUNGER}} or UNC’s 17th Annual Women’s Walk to raise scholarship dollars on our NorCoWIB Wonder Walkers Team
• Make :30 announcements at the end of the Workshops to spread awareness about things you are hosting or passionate about
• Serve as Enlightening Conversation Leader/ Hostesses …and also accept invitations to be part of these magical small group Master Mind sessions that are a FREE Perk of Membership or cost $10 for Associate – Future Members (or $11 online)
• Sponsor a Training that will enrich your business skills and help members
• Participate with members in CELEBRATING YOUR WINS!
