Jennifer Hahnke, Education & Outreach Manager for the Better Business Bureau Serving Northern Colorado & Wyoming – with10 years serving the business and nonprofit sectors of Northern Colorado through education, outreach, events, training, and recognitions.

How well do you know your Better Business Bureau?

In business, honesty, integrity, and excellence still matter.

Since 1983 (that’s 40 years Ladies) your local BBB has been fostering ethical standards, calling out substandard behavior, and creating a community of trustworthy businesses and nonprofits across 38 counties. When you see the BBB brand, it is the sign of a better business and they want YOU to feel confident working with their member businesses, while you both get to know each other!

Their promotional materials state: The Standards for Trust Business will continue to change – just as it has enormously over the last four decades. But ethics and values will always matter. BBB was founded on self-regulation, and that continues to be how we approach businesses. The frameworks we provide for making ethical decisions are – and will continue to be – a strategic asset for all individuals, organizations, and business leaders.

Registration closes Wednesday, Sept. 27th at 5 p.m. or when all seats are filled. You can drop off a check to NorCoWIB at Kristi’s home, 4113 W. 16th St. Rd., Greeley, 80634. Register NOW to assure your spot.

Three key points we will learn about and take away from this Workshop…
  1. Getting to Know ‘Your’ BBB – 40 Years and Counting
  2. Truthfulness, Trust, and Transparency – Why They Matter
  3. BBB Accreditation – Why Is It Important to you…and your business?
Meet Jennifer Hahnke, her own introduction…

“Hey there, fabulous ladies of Northern Colorado!  I’m Jennifer Hahnke, the Education and Outreach Manager at your local Better Business Bureau (BBB). I’m here to share some amazing programs and the value of trust, ethics, and transparency that BBB’s 40 years of service bring to you and our business community.

“Just, a little about me: I’ve had quite the journey! I’ve gone from being a florist, event coordinator and interior design consultant to what I like to call a ‘nonprofit unicorn rancher.’

“I’ve been married to a brilliant aerospace engineer for almost 35 years, and I’m a proud mom to three adult children who keep me relevant and laughing; as well as a sheepadoodle named Hellie living here in Timnath.

“When I’m not spreading the word about BBB, you can find me indulging in my passions. I love traveling, savoring fine wine, enjoying delicious food, diving into books, immersing myself in audiobooks and podcasts, kayaking, knitting, shopping, and playing MahJong. I’m a huge fan of Formula 1 racing and nothing revitalizes my soul quite like gazing at the vast ocean waves on the horizon of any coast.

“Thank you for including BBB in your Northern Colorado Women in Business monthly Workshop lineup. I look forward to meeting you and making new meaningful connections,”  Jennifer

Kristi Helzer, President/Facilitator, gave birth to Northern Colorado Women In Business in January of 2009…to help business women support each other in achieving our goals! We are well into our 15th year and we continue to thrive and attract new women monthly.
We promote learning from each other and experts in their field so we can gain knowledge, skills, inspiration, courage, and confidence to perfect our business practices to become the best at what we do.
We have launched our Membership drive: July – October with three options to best fit your business situation. You will choose from Ultimate, the most popular for women working fulltime; Nonprofit for women employed or volunteering for nonprofit organizations; or Basic, which is for our Retired, partially retired or a woman who has a fulltime job in addition to her “Side Hustle” (business on the side) that she works when she can.
Contact Kristi to gain more details about your membership options. Our rates are very competitive with local networking groups; as well as networking groups across the country in similar sized markets. Your annual Membership fee includes posting your Profile on our website: NorCoWIB.com to help promote you and your business and allows members to easily refer people to you. Once you pay and join, you are good for 12 mos. our online system will send you a reminder email 7 days prior to when your Renewal membership will be due annually.
We believe in doing business locally to support a healthy economy and a healthy community.
We endorse giving back to worthy efforts that impact community members and host a different area nonprofit each month when we have the opportunity to donate $5 + 1 business card…or $15 + 3 business cards. This is free choice and at the close of the Workshop we draw a card so both a member and the chosen nonprofit will share the total donated.
Monthly Workshops are $38, your participation is valued. Registration closes at 5 p.m. the last Wednesday of the previous month, so register early before seating is maxed-out. By “showing up” you can turn contacts into powerful connections to build your business.
Members are surveyed each summer and suggest the topics and speakers that we showcase throughout the upcoming year.
Thank you for contributing to our growing SUCCESS!
Please feel free to invite a girlfriend who can benefit from our interactions. Our Ladies really like getting to know one another and our presenters. It encourages their trust and can result in new clients for YOU!
Thank you!
