Jan earned a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, along with a minor in music performance, from Louisiana State University and an MBA from Colorado State University.  She has been married to her husband Dave since 2002 and together they have two teenage children. She will talk about engagement with local elected officials and how that can help your business, and how and when you should engage with fellow community members. Timing is a powerful element.

During this WORKshop you will…

  1. Gain an overview of Thornton’s Alliance Business Assistance Center, which could share some structure for our local geographic area.
  2. Learn tips on how to talk with local elected officials BEFORE you need something.
  3. Discover the importance of how to engage with community members.
