An Ounce of Prevention – Focus on Children
March 2, 2022 @ 8:00 am - 10:00 am
$33.00[vc_row][vc_column][vc_custom_heading text=”Every child’s story is an integral part of the work Life Stories Child and Family Advocacy accomplishes.” font_container=”tag:h3|text_align:left|color:%23000000″ use_theme_fonts=”yes” el_class=”ev_head”][vc_custom_heading text=”Speaker: Sharon Eberhard, Community Outreach Specialist @ Life Stories Child & Family Advocacy, plus Certified Trainer for CASA and D2L” use_theme_fonts=”yes” el_class=”ev_head”][vc_column_text]
At Life Stories, they believe every child deserves to live a life free of abuse in a safe, permanent home. But that isn’t true in every home.
You’ll learn about the Children’s Advocacy Center, their CASA – Court Appointed Special Advocates Program and Darkness to Light’s: Stewards of Children training and how they can educate adults in our community to help prevent, recognize and react responsibly to child sexual abuse.
They are able to provide their Nationally Accredited Programs to Weld County because of people like you who care about the children in our lives and our communities. Life Stories, turning the page for a better tomorrow, one story at a time.
As mentioned above, every child’s story is an integral part of the work they do. Their forensic interviewers, family advocates, CASA staff and volunteers hear stories of abuse and neglect and then provide advocacy, support, and resources to help children turn their stories into ones of strength and hope.
They can’t change what’s already happened, but with your help, they can sure try to change what happens next. There are volunteer opportunities, whether it be as a CASA volunteer, or helping out at their fundraising and awareness-building events, being a board member or sponsoring and attending one…or all of their events. Ask Sharon where you can make a difference.
The work this organization does for children is powerful and meaningful, it changes children’s futures through your support – Thank you for your help![/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]
