WORKshop Details

In 2018, Weld County lost 59 lives to suicide. Eighty-one percent of these deaths were men. Imagine Zero of Weld County is a suicide coalition, started in August 2018, as a way to bring the many suicide prevention non-profit organizations together to combat suicide in Weld County.

This presentation will address what the coalition does, who all is involved and the priority work that they are doing, that includes addressing adult male suicide, youth suicide and education for all community members.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]

Kimberly Pratt, SESS & NRBH

Kimberly Pratt, MA – Project Coordinator, Suicide Education and Support Services (SESS), a program of North Range Behavioral Health.  Pratt is a lead trainer of suicide prevention for Weld County. She has trained over 35,000 adults and adolescents in suicide prevention since 2013. She serves as the Facilitator of Imagine Zero: Weld County.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]

Rick Jenkins, Survivor and Founder of Thirst Living Waters

Rick has been on the board at North Range since 2014, though he has long been active on the North Range Suicide Education and Support Services (SESS) board. He was a long-time member of United Way of Weld County board and chaired it from 2012-2014. In 2014, he was awarded United Way’s Live United award, a well-deserved recognition of how generously he has given time, expertise, and passion to many important causes.

During this WORKshop you will learn…

1. To understand the scope of the suicide problem in Weld County.

2. To know who Imagine Zero Weld County encompasses and gain knowledge about the work they are doing.

3. How to use and register for local resources to combat suicide.

They will bring ManTherapy, suicide prevention and coalition materials to share with participants.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_custom_heading text=”Meet two experts with a passion for Suicide prevention.” font_container=”tag:h2|text_align:center” use_theme_fonts=”yes” el_class=”ev_head”][vc_column_text]
