WORKshop Details

Michelle Kempema, Executive Director of the largest model railroad in the world, will share with us how the museum found its home in Greeley. She will talk about their community impact on youth programs and where the museum is going from here. Like most things in Downtown Greeley – there is growth in their future. Their 5,500 sq. ft. railroad is a high-tech “immersive experience” for all ages and so realistic you can even see the expressions on the 21 millimeter-tall people featured in the realistic settings.

During this holiday season Michelle is thrilled to share her Joy of Trains with you. The museum will be transformed into a timeless Christmas Wonder featuring a Hallmark’s Department 56 Village adding to the magical appeal, and what better time of year than Christmas to learn more about this treasure. She will share a sheet of upcoming holiday events and activities you will want to know about.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]

During this WORKshop you will learn…

…about all the people who contributed to helping Founder, David Truswell’s vision become a reality. Our tables will be set-up throughout the walkways of the museum keeping us up close to witness all the fun and moving parts. Seeing what has been created is mind boggling!

You might even decide you want to volunteer and join the bankers, retired railroad personnel, 2-star general, many colonels, police officers, engineers, lawyers, truck drivers, and a pilot who love greeting the public. They assist in helping attendees discover…

1.What the Colorado Model Railroad Museum is all about and why it is important to Greeley? You will learn ways you can Partner and Engage with families who visit the CMRM year-round.

2.How the museum connects with the community and why their future is important to our local economy and the Greeley Creative District and Visit Greeley.

3.What is the heart connection between Joy and Trains![/vc_column_text][vc_column_text][/vc_column_text][vc_column_text][/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_custom_heading text=”Registration Information:” font_container=”tag:h2|text_align:left|color:%23d1345b” use_theme_fonts=”yes” el_class=”ev_head”][vc_column_text]Your Cost: Just $27 when pre-paid by 5 p.m. Wednesday, November 27th – when registration will close or when our seats are maxed-out.
