Viki Mann, Allstate Financial Services – Personal Financial Representative will be presenting Women & Investing

The purpose of this presentation, is to educate women and debunk their fear of investing. Viki will kick-off August with great ideas for us to ponder when it is time to secure our  financial future.

Her passion for “sharing knowledge” about investing wisely is what gets Viki fired-up each day. As a business professional and single mother of three grown daughters, she wants to help counsel all investors, especially women, to use knowledge to defeat fear, clearly understand their risk profile and how to invest wisely. By nature, women tend to be caring and nurturing. This can result in some women sabotaging their own retirement planning. Her passion and desire are to advise her clients to recognize their fear and strategically plan for their financial future.

Three key points we will learn about and take away…

1.Women as investors – females differ from our male counterparts when it comes to investing. Why women are good investors.
2. Five strategies to help you take control – separating emotion from investing requires the right vision, knowledge, and confidence.
3.How to be empowered — taking-action on your financial plan takes action and grit.

Meet Viki Mann

She was born and raised in Montana. She earned her BA degree from Montana State University in Bozeman, MT and moved to Colorado in 1985 in search of a career and big ski mountains.

After several years in senior marketing positions with four Fortune 500 companies, Viki went back to school, received her Series 6 and 63 securities licenses while working with Edward Jones. After Edward Jones, she spent a year with Northwestern Mutual, then joined Allstate Financial Services in 2019 as a Personal Financial Representative.

She partnered with NorCoWIB member, Sue Helfrich, Helfrich and Associates – Allstate Insurance. (Sue sold her agency and retired in May) beginning in 2021 and mainly serves Allstate clients in Northern Colorado and is licensed in 10 other states. Sue is a founding member of this organization and a key member of the NorCoWIB Leadership TEAM. The new owner is Joe Fowler with Fowler-Helfrich Allstate.

Beyond watching the ups and downs of the stock market, Viki enjoys the great outdoors and activities Colorado offers. She is President of her golf league, enjoys running, skiing, hiking, and traveling.

Family time is very important and spent with her significant other, Charles, also in finance, her 26 year old twins. Plus, she is delighted to share she will become a grandmother to a baby boy in early December with her third daughter and son-in-law who live in Lakewood, Colorado.

Kristi Helzer, President/Facilitator, gave birth to Northern Colorado Women In Business in January of 2009…to help business women support each other in achieving our goals! We are well into our 15th year and we continue to thrive and attract new women monthly.
We promote learning from each other and experts in their field so we can gain knowledge, skills, inspiration, courage, and confidence to perfect our business practices to become the best at what we do.
We have launched our Membership drive: July – October with three options to best fit your business situation. You will choose from Ultimate, the most popular for women working fulltime; Nonprofit for women employed or volunteering for nonprofit organizations; or Basic, which is for our Retired, partially retired or a woman who has a fulltime job in addition to her “Side Hustle” (business on the side) that she works when she can.
Contact Kristi to gain more details about your membership options. Our rates are very competitive with local networking groups; as well as networking groups across the country in similar sized markets. Your annual Membership fee includes posting your Profile on our website: NorCoWIB.com to help promote you and your business and allows members to easily refer people to you. Once you pay and join, you are good for 12 mos. our online system will send you a reminder email 7 days prior to when your Renewal membership will be due annually.
We believe in doing business locally to support a healthy economy and a healthy community.
We endorse giving back to worthy efforts that impact community members and host a different area nonprofit each month when we have the opportunity to donate $5 + 1 business card…or $15 + 3 business cards. This is free choice and at the close of the Workshop we draw a card so both a member and the chosen nonprofit will share the total donated.
Monthly Workshops are $38, your participation is valued. Registration closes at 5 p.m. the last Wednesday of the previous month, so register early before seating is maxed-out. By “showing up” you can turn contacts into powerful connections to build your business.
Members are surveyed each summer and suggest the topics and speakers that we showcase throughout the upcoming year.
Thank you for contributing to our growing SUCCESS!
Please feel free to invite a girlfriend who can benefit from our interactions. Our Ladies really like getting to know one another and our presenters. It encourages their trust and can result in new clients for YOU!
Thank you!
