WORKshop Details

Participants will learn about the Greeley Downtown Development Authority – DDA and the small but dynamic team of women who make it all click! We’ll talk about why a healthy and well-balanced downtown is important to our community and to your business. COVID_19 prevented us from hosting this Workshop on April Fools Day. We are grateful we were able to move it to July 1st!  this session will be informative giving you detailed insight as to where Downtown is now, and what it may look like going forward.
Bianca and Alison will briefly mention their need for volunteers and sponsorship opportunities that might appeal to you and for your businesses, employees and clients. Consider it value added when you are in the know![/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]

Overview of Services

We will learn more about all the new and re-vamped building and businesses you all keep talking about. You’ll discover more about all the special downtown events on the calendar that you can support through attendance, volunteering or sponsorships. Get answers to: What is First Friday? …Blarney on the Block? Tree Art along 8th Avenue? Does the DDA support the Creative District? Why should I move my business downtown? And so much more. Bring your questions and curiosity! Bianca and Alison will get YOU excited about being in Downtown Greeley!

During this WORKshop you will learn…

Bianca pronounced “Bee-YANK-ah” – was born in South Africa, lived in Canada after that, but has called Colorado home for the past 19 years.

She came to Greeley in 2005 to earn her degree at UNC with plans to move to a big city.

But alas, she fell in love… with both the city and her now husband, Neil.

Bianca has been with the DDA for almost 11 years, working in every position from administrative assistant to now Executive Director. All this experience working from the ground up has made her well qualified to lead her organization. She is passionate about investing in Downtown because it is where local business, local creativity and local collaboration thrive!

Besides leading the DDA, Bianca is mom to two awesome kiddos, serves on two non-profit Boards (the Immigrant & Refugee Center and the Greeley Family House – formerly Greeley Transition House), and is currently completing her Master of Public Administration. This ambitious woman is a delight – so our downtown is in good hands!

Greeley’s Downtown Development Authority” use_theme_fonts=”yes” el_class=”ev_head”][vc_column_text]Alison Hamling was born and raised in New York’s Hudson Valley, with an upbringing that was packed with music and a loving family.

Her alto voice has delighted audiences from New York to Greeley and several NorCoWIB members are part of her “groupies.” When she sings with her daughter Kristin, the magic is very real.

At this point she has established a long history in Greeley.

She fell in love with a handsome oil field roughneck named Bob on her first trip to Colorado at the age of 19 and came back to marry him four years later.

They’ve raised two beautiful girls who both graduated from UNC and who refer to their extroverted mother as the “Prom Queen of Downtown.”

Her daughter Michael has blessed her with two adorable grandsons.

Alison has been at the DDA for 8½ years as the “Director of Experience” in charge of events, marketing, and “other duties as needed.” She is accessible when citizens want to learn more about the ARTS and Downtown.

You can contact Alison in the same office as Bianca and learn more about her at:
