Come play our Aging CLUE Game with us Wednesday, Oct. 3rd and meet our cast of characters!
Mrs. Meadow-Brook, Kristi Helzer is our Gardener: She gave birth to Northern Colorado Women in Business in January of 2009. She likes GROWING things and has hosted an informative Workshop every month – since and is proud to have more than doubled monthly participation over the last 10 years. Her passion is helping others. She loves being a cheerleader for Northern Colorado and the people living and working here. Business Match-Making and Marketing are as natural as inhaling and exhaling for this community-minded woman who has never met a stranger. She mothers and adopts people daily and can hardly wait to be a Grammy! She’s been married to Richard for 41 years, is the mother of two sons. Ben, her first born, and Annie (Kristi’s almost daughter) will bless the family with a baby boy in December. That little guy will attempt to keep up with his nearly 7-year-old sister Briana. Rich & Krisit’s youngest blue-eyed, teddy bear son Joey is an Angel – keeping an eye on all of them from Heaven. Kristi’s full-time job is as the Community Outreach & Education Coordinator for the West Greeley Conservation District.
Northern Colorado Women in Business evolved out of a clamoring of women who wanted a support system, so we “grew” one. This body of incredible women share, coach, encourage, support and build friendships that go beyond professional relationships right into a sisterhood. We truly are unique. We build careers, raise families, volunteer for area nonprofit organizations, care for children and parents all while learning from each other and growing as human beings. We push one another to do the work and reach for the stars! We are building careers that are impacting others through our success. We even help our members re-invent themselves when LIFE calls for a change! Members volunteer for monthly tasks, refer new members, donate speaker gifts and door prizes, and host meetings. We average 5-7 new members at each first Wednesday NetWORKing/Breakfast/WORKshop. This incredible steady growth in participation, and sharing management duties – helps keep participation affordable for business women in any stage of their career. When you attend, you become a member. You can enhance your membership by posting your profile ($100 for life) on our Web Site 970-506-1882 / Kristi@KristiHelzer.com./ NorCoWIB.com

Ms. Peach, Janet Bedingfield, will manipulate a situation with her sweet, innocent southern charm. Janet began the latest chapter of her career as the Assistant Executive Director of Senior Resource Services (SRS) in September, 2015, becoming the Executive Director almost exactly one year later. Janet’s career has been spent as a primary classroom teacher, a State Farm Supervisor, a Congressional campaign Volunteer Coordinator, and a small business owner before making the move to the non-profit sector. Her life-long passion for volunteerism has spanned everything from schools to church leadership, then to the American Cancer Society events and on to the Greeley Independence Stampede Committee. She is the proud mother of two sons and an adoring grandma.
Senior Resource Services (SRS) was founded by Gerontologist DeeAnn Groves in 2007, the concept born out of a desire to meet the needs of older adults in Weld County. SRS’s transportation program, 60+ Ride, offers Weld County’s aging population transportation free of charge, regardless of income. Providing this needed service directly addresses the number one reason for their loss of independence during the aging process. Transportation is provided largely by caring volunteer drivers whose generous willingness to take clients to and from local appointments offers older residents throughout Weld County the opportunity to maintain their physical, emotional, and mental health while continuing to live independently.
